Multifunctional Golchi travel bottle integrates two vacuum-insulated bottles, food canister, can holder and storage for snacks into one dynamic smart bottle with the best looks among competitors, offering the most versatility among bottles throughout the world
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 21, 2016
The Golchi, a versatile multi-liquid bottle that carries hot and cold liquids along with snacks at the same time is now among the top-three most popular design campaigns on the Kickstarter crowdfunding website – surpassing its $30,000 goal in 48 hours and now more than doubling its goal with over $63,000 invested by more than 900 backers.
Golchi Co-founder and creator Harsh Garg, who graduated with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management just as the product was launched on Kickstarter, says he’s “ecstatic” with the initial response from crowdfunders everywhere.
“I felt there was a market for this product – from travelers tired of carrying multiple bottles on airline flights to mothers who needed to carry hot water and baby formula for mixing when they’re on the go – but to have this kind of success so quickly is overwhelming,” Garg said. “The fact that I received my MBA degree at the same time was a happy coincidence.”
Harsh, along with his wife Ankita, decided to “live out” their entrepreneurial experience last year when they came up with the idea of a bottle that would “revolutionize the everyday bottle” and bring added convenience to millions of people who use bottles to carry their beverages every day.
Golchi was designed with 15 innovative features, including the ability to carry two beverages in any combination of hot and cold at the same time – with vacuum-insulated compartments that keep drinks cold for 24 hours and drinks hot for up to 12 hours, along with a temperature gauge that shows which compartment has the cold and hot liquids. The bottle has the ability to adapt to every drinking situation and be used in four different modes. Golchi can go from big-to-small or become one or two bottles in an instant. Its modular design also includes a separate storage compartment, offering the perfect place to store protein powder, baby formula, cereal, snacks or even medicine.
The bottle also features a three-point patented controlled-flow mechanism, which allows users to pick the size of the drinking spout to conform with the hot or cold beverage they’re about to consume. Golchi’s multi-purpose lower compartment is standardized to carry soda cans and, because of its wide mouth, it can also be used as a food canister for carrying breakfast cereals or a variety of snacks.
To ensure it was a hit with tea lovers, Garg designed the Golchi with an add-on, collapsible tea infuser that can be carried in the middle compartment and placed on the mouth of lower compartment when in use. It also comes with built-in extenders, so it can also be used with cup holders of varying sizes for the perfect fit.
Additional features include:
- Collapsible handle: In its closed position, it aligns perfectly with the curve of the lid to enhance the look of bottle
- Finger grip
- Magnetic lock mechanism in the bottom lid
- Dual side opening
- Super easy to clean because the bottle splits open in the middle
- Dishwasher safe
- Easily fits into most car cup holders, bike cages and side pockets of backpacks
- Anti-lock thread design to ensure drinks are leak-proof and stored securely
- Available in six colors and four cool styles
“Since the average person consumes an estimated six different beverages daily, we felt the time was right for Golchi to enter the consumer marketplace and Kickstarter was the right way to bring it to the public,” added Golchi Co-founder Ankita Garg. “You can do a variety of things with the Golchi depending on your needs and lifestyle. And, as we’ve said since its inception, we designed Golchi to be the last bottle people will ever need to buy.”
The Golchi is available for pre-order at discounted prices on Kickstarter through mid-August.
Golchi LLC is a Chicago-based startup company focused on re-imagining everyday products for people with active lifestyles. ‘Golchi’ was created with ‘GO’ and ‘Chill’ as two core ideas and a name free from confines of any language. The company also developed a logo that has character, is compatible with 'invertible' nature of our bottle and representative of the thought put into the bottle design. The terms "go" and "ch" in the logo denote two compartments of our bottle. The two dots on the sides of the logo depict two openings on the either side of our bottle. The logo is also an ambigram, which when rotated by 180 degrees in any direction, it retains its identity. For more information, visit http://www.mygolchi.com.
