Hawk Defense announces deep integration with Trend Micro.
DALLAS (PRWEB) June 21, 2016
HAWK Network Defense, the software manufacturer of eyeCon™, a Big Data Security Analytics (BDSA) Platform, today announced the interoperability of eyeCon 5.0 and its patented V-Stream technology with Trend Micro Deep Security™ products. Classification as ‘Trend Ready’ ensures Trend Micro customers can quickly create, validate and prioritize security incidents across the Deep Security products.
HAWK’s eyeCon 5.0 brings the combined power of BDSA and streaming analytics together with Trend Micro to provide visibility across Firewall, HIDS, Web Reputation/Malware, File Inspection Monitoring (FIM), and System Inspection Monitoring. eyeCon’s fully indexed streaming database (V-Stream) provides constant collection and instant analysis by HAWK’s breach analytics engines to deliver full incident details that include:
- Rich security analytics across Trend Micro Deep Security™ products to determine and prioritize true security incidents
- Incident timelines containing summary of all the events reported
- Hosts involved – both originating and targeted as well as designating critical assets
- Which events were blocked or allowed
- Related incidents that include other collected incidents that have related attributes
“This interoperability effort leverages eyeCon’s streaming big data analytics and incident detection, validation, and tracking capabilities on all of the data generated from Deep Security to allow Trend Micro’s customers to focus on true incidents in a more timely manner,” said Tim Shelton, CTO of HAWK Defense. “Not only does eyeCon create the immediate summary view of the breach event but all of the raw logged events from across Deep Security products are retained and connected with the incident record for efficient forensic research.”
“As more organizations are moving to the cloud or operate in a hybrid cloud environment, security becomes one of their utmost concerns,” said Kevin Simzer, executive vice president, marketing and sales, Trend Micro. “Hawk Network Defense’s eyeCon platform™ is now Trend Ready and provides rich security analytics to help Trend Micro Deep Security customers identify, validate and prioritize real security incidents”.
