Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) October 17, 2015

Pines of Sarasota Education & Training Institute announces the release of its new dementia caregiving program, “In-Home Dementia Care: Tips & Techniques”, available on DVD or online video streaming.

Presented by nationally renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, this program offers innovative and practical tips for creating a care environment that best balances the needs of the person living with dementia and the caregiver’s personal well-being and abilities.

Teepa explains: “Without having a professional healthcare background and experience, it can be very challenging for families to care for their loved one living with dementia. This program is designed to help those who are trying their very best to do the right thing, and better understand the situations they find themselves in due to a dementing illness.”

“Caring for a person living with dementia can be very challenging. Without a strong support system and learned hands-on skills techniques, this job can easily leave caregivers feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and isolated,” JoAnn Westbrook, Director of Education, explains. “This is why we decided to create a program in partnership with Teepa that focuses on practical tips and ideas for in-home caregivers. Learning her caregiving techniques and skills is paramount to offering the highest level of care and best quality of life for those living with dementia. We are excited to be able to offer the Positive Approach™ principles and techniques on DVD and online video streaming, helping caregivers worldwide.”

This program is now available on DVD and Online Video at http://www.DementiaCareAcademy.com, and at Pines Education's Amazon Shop for international customers.
