American hero to share compelling insights during world’s largest technology conference of independent insurance agents, brokers and insurers

University Park, Ill. (PRWEB) May 04, 2016

Applied Systems and the Applied Client Network today announced that Captain “Sully” Sullenberger will be the featured keynote speaker at Applied Net 2016. Captain Sullenberger will share insights and lessons from his life on how to manage unprecedented crisis and the opportunity technology affords individuals and businesses today to prepare for the unexpected.

As one of the most captivating American heroes of our time, Captain Sullenberger is remembered for his preparation and leadership that enabled him to safely guide US Airways Flight 1549 to an emergency landing in New York City’s frigid Hudson River. This inspirational and iconic moment in modern history is captured in a soon-to-be-released major motion picture, Sully, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks as Captain Sullenberger. Recognized as an aviation safety expert and accident investigator, Sullenberger also serves as the CBS News Aviation and Safety Expert and is the founder and chief executive officer of Safety Reliability Methods, Inc., a company dedicated to management, safety, performance and reliability consulting.

“The Applied Net conference is about inspiring attendees to discover the latest trends, insights and skills to drive success within their own agencies or brokerages,” said Brian Langerman, chief executive officer, Applied Client Network. “As a recognized hero, Captain Sullenberger will deliver a valuable message that motivates and provides trusted advice during the times when it matters the most.”

Since 2011, the Applied Net conference has grown by more than 180 percent, making the conference the “must-attend” technology event in the industry. This year’s conference theme, Connecting the Business of Insurance, focuses on opportunities for agencies and brokerages to embrace digital technologies that connect their business with insurers, current policyholders and prospective insureds to create high-value business transactions and great customer service across the entire insurance industry.
