To help healthcare professionals address the rising prevalence of traumatic brain injuries and post concussion syndrome, Education Resources Inc. is now offering a new course that provides clinicians with evidence based strategies and techniques to address specific symptoms experienced by patients recovering from brain injuries.
Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) November 03, 2015
The course, Brain Injury Rehabilitation: Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome, is recommended for occupational therapists and assistants, physical therapists and assistants, speech language pathologists, teachers, psychologists, counselors, and social workers. Participants will identify neurophysiological correlates of symptoms of post brain injury and symptoms, functional implications, and strategy options that may be customized to client need. The course will provide a framework of intervention that may be used across age spans and symptom severity, as well as teach participants to implement and adapt context-specific functional strategies to their clients' symptom and environmental demands. Participants can earn 13.5 contact hours (1.35 CEUs) while growing their skills.
