In 1916, 100 years ago, the first bars of copper alloy were cast at the Olin Brass mill in East Alton, Illinois, and one of the great stories in the American metals industry began.

The Olin Brass story will be told in greater detail in the coming weeks as the company draws attention to its many accomplishments over the past century.

The story will unfold over several months, with each chapter available on a wide range of media, including the company’s website, http://www.OlinBrass.com, as well as through email, social media, and online news articles. It will culminate with a special event at the Olin Brass East Alton facility during the Fall that will include local officials, community members, and, of course, Olin Brass employees past and present.
