Revenue rises as Pro subscriptions increase 173% during quarter. Monthly users expected to top 10 million.

SignUpGenius, the leading online signup service for event and volunteer management, continued to grow quickly in the third quarter, recording a 173% spike in revenue from SignUpGenius Pro compared to the third quarter of 2014.

Through the first three quarters, 39.9 million people visited SignUpGenius — the same amount that visited the site during the entire 2014 fiscal year. Total revenue during that time rose 86% compared to the year before.

“We’re seeing exceptional growth in two areas right now. We’re seeing a high percentage of new users that is driving rapid traffic growth. We believe that the word is out that we are the gold standard in sign ups, and many new organizers are trying us,” CEO Dan Rutledge said. “Secondly, we’re seeing increasing adoption of our Pro subscription as larger organizations and schools benefit from the advanced functionality it can offer for organizing large numbers of people and complex events.”

That growth has propelled SignUpGenius to one of the 500 most-trafficked websites in the U.S., according to Alexa.com. More than 10 million people are expected to visit the site in October.

Fall is traditionally the busiest time of year for SignUpGenius as students head back to school, and activities and planning ramp up for families. To prepare for growth, SignUpGenius moved into new Charlotte headquarters this summer that allowed the company to increase its workforce by 50%, hiring in all departments.

The site has added features this fall, including a revamped user interface, a more powerful mobile site and extra perks for Pro-level power users. SignUpGenius continues to focus on innovating its core sign up service and providing exceptional customer service as it grows.
