Startup Launches Interactive Course Charting Map for Boaters and Smart Search Capability. Boaters Can Now Rent Boat Slips at Marinas from the Chesapeake Bay through the Caribbean.
Annapolis, MD (PRWEB) October 27, 2015
Snag-A-Slip today officially revealed major site enhancements designed to better serve boaters as the company expands nationally and into the Caribbean. The mobile-responsive website now features an interactive map that boaters can use to chart – and book – cruising trips. The company has also re-tooled its core search functionality so that boaters can type a town, region, city or marina into the search bar to better explore inventory. Once boaters enter their boat specifications and travel dates, the site will return available options. From there, boaters can pick their preferred marina based on amenities - and book immediately. There are no booking fees associated with renting boat slips on Snag-A-Slip.
“We have been thrilled with the amount of support Snag-A-Slip has received in such a short period of time,” said Dan Cowens, Founder, Snag-A-Slip. “Given the momentum, we accelerated our growth plans and immediately put the site back into development to accommodate new regions and our boaters’ cruising needs. The company is excited to now be sharing these new enhancements as they drastically improve the user experience for our customers, while giving our marina partners new ways to be found on the site.”
Snag-A-Slip has nearly 70 marinas signed in the Chesapeake Bay and has begun expanding down the coast and into the Caribbean. In addition to its Chesapeake Bay marinas, Snag-A-Slip is now available at key stopping points down the Intracoastal Waterway and into Florida. The company signed its first Caribbean marina, Antigua Yacht Club Marina, last week and plans to light up more destinations by December.
“Marinas are signing up left and right. In order to remain competitive, they have to connect with a new generation of boaters who are used to booking reservations online. Snag-A-Slip is here to help them do that – it’s a win-win solution for both the marina and the boater,” said Cowens.
The company does not charge a booking fee for its service and will happily honor member discount programs, such as BoatUS discounts, for those marinas that accept them. Boaters can let the Snag-A-Slip team know which discount groups they belong to in the special notes box when they book.
Snag-A-Slip, LLC is a free boat slip rental system that allows boaters to explore new marinas and rent available boat slips online and in real-time. The company is based in Annapolis, MD and has satellite locations around the country.
