Employees of custom home builder Wayne Homes celebrated a great 2015 fiscal year at WayneToberFest.

Uniontown, OH (PRWEB) October 29, 2015

On October 16, 2015, all Wayne Homes employees near and far gathered at the Home Office in Uniontown, OH for the annual event, WayneToberFest. The Wayne Homes Steering Committee, a group of select non-management employees, planned this event with the idea that all Wayne Homes employees could come together and celebrate another successful year.

Everyone from the sales teams to the accounting department was there! Fall decorations, music, a pig roast, raffles and awards, a pumpkin launcher and obstacle course, as well as some sweet treats; including made-on-site elephant ears and pig shaped cake pops created the perfect atmosphere! There was also a 35 team corn-hole tournament made up of a fun competition between the offices. The team of Bowling Green Field Managers Curt Meuleman and Leon Bekier defeated the team of Home Office Product Development Designer Dave Whipkey and Portage Customer Care Technician Scott Warner in the championship round.

“WayneToberFest was a huge success! The Board of Managers wanted to say Thank You for a great year and all the hard work everyone has done. Our goal was to laugh, have fun and each other’s company by taking a break from the everyday pressures at work. This even just gets better and better every year!”, said Executive Assistant Kim Hamrick.

Vice President of Organizational Development, Mike Leckie-Ewing stated, “It is wonderful for the whole team to get together and share in a celebration of our successes and prepare for the year ahead. We have such a great team and we are geared up for another fantastic year at Wayne Homes.”

It wouldn’t be a Wayne Homes event if the company did not find a way to give back to the local community. Wayne Homes employees who attended WayneToberFest were asked to bring any non-perishable item to be donated to Open M’s food pantry. Through the generosity of the employees, over 340 pounds of food was able to be donated. The left over pork and side dishes were also donated to Haven of Rest of Summit County to provide a hot meal to those who are currently homeless in the Akron area.
