A four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom Colonial across the street from Mill Pond in Port Washington is for sale.

Construction on the 3,000-square-foot home at 43 Mill Pond Rd. began a year ago and will be completed this month, says listing agent Kathleen Christie, branch manager in the Port Washington office of Century 21 Laffey Associates. The builder is 43 Mill Pond Road, LLC of Jericho.

The asking price is $1.099 million

The two-story house is on a 50-foot-by-100-foot lot, Christie says. It has a front porch and rear deck; landscaping; a family room with a gas fireplace; an unfinished basement with nine-foot ceilings; an attic; a one-car garage; oak flooring; an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, maple cabinets and stainless-steel appliances; vaulted ceilings at the entrance; crown moldings; a master bedroom with a walk-in closet; and a master bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a separate shower, double vanities and a skylight. It also has vinyl siding on the exterior, two-zone gas heat and two-zone central air-conditioning.

The home is two blocks to shopping and restaurants in downtown Port Washington, Christie says. It also is about 1 1/2 miles to the Port Washington stop of the Long Island Rail Road. It is in the Port Washington school district.

"This home is suitable for people who enjoy nature and want to be near the water and have a nice view," Christie says. "It also is for those who want a lot of activities and fine dining and stores right at their fingertips."

Estimated annual taxes are $15,680, Christie says.

Christie can be reached at 516-883-7780.
