The owners of a waterfront home in Centerport are looking either to sell or swap.
Homemaker Lisa Vaughan, 45, says she and her husband, Andrew, 43, a child psychologist, want to move with their five children to a smaller home within the Harborfields school district.
Offering such a trade, with the owner of the other house paying the differential in price, might help allow someone to move who might otherwise be unable to sell in this real estate market.
"It saves money and time and anxiety on everybody's behalf," says Lisa.
Located on the Little Neck peninsula overlooking Northport Harbor, Asharoken and Connecticut, the house is listed for a price range of $998,000 to $1,078,000. The 1970 Colonial has five bedrooms and 41/2 baths with two fireplaces. All rooms offer panoramic views of the water. There is a deck and a saltwater pool on the 1-acre property with access to the beach.
The listing agent is Suzanne Asher of Signature Premier Properties. -- Valerie Kellogg
