Users of Google’s Drive cloud-storage service can add 2 gigabytes of free storage to the already free base amount of 15 GB by simply reviewing their Google account’s security settings.

During the “Security Checkup,” you review the mobile devices and computers connected to your account and check your account’s permissions to see if anything looks amiss.

The process should take less than two minutes. Google says the extra 2GB is permanent, but to get it you must complete the Security Checkup by Thursday.
