42 in White Plains to host fundraiser for Atka, the wolf ambassador
You can eat well while supporting a good cause tonight as 42 The Restaurant in White Plains hosts a "Feast for the Beast," a fundraiser for South Salem's Wolf Conservation Center's Atka Ambassador Program. Atka is the oldest wolf ambassador at the center, which hosts programs for children and adults and travels with Atka to outside events.
Chef Anthony Goncalves, who crafted the entire menu, will be joined by food writer and founder of Meatopia, Josh Ozersky, at the event, which costs $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
“I love the fact that Atka visits 100 or more nature centers a year, in an effort to educate kids and adults about wolves,” said Chef Goncalves in a news release. “I’ve made this one of my causes and want to do my part to ensure that the program continues.”
A portion of proceeds from the dinner, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will directly benefit the Wolf Conservation Center. 42 is on the 42nd floor of the Ritz-Carlton at 1 Renaissance Sq. in White Plains; www.42therestaurant.com. Call 914-761-4242 for tickets.
