The Voracious Reader, an independent children’s bookshop in Larchmont, will overflow with adoring fans when Dame Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, visit for a book signing of “The Very Fairy Princess Follows Her Heart” tonight.

“We sold out in less than 24 hours after I put it up on Facebook,” said Francine Lucidon, the shop’s owner. She anticipates a crowd of up to 500 to pack the quaint village storefront, which has played host to many a magical extravaganza, including a Halloween celebration that featured a live horse in the 2,200-square-foot space. While there was no fee to attend, registrants were required to purchase at least one book online to secure a spot.

With starring roles in “The Sound of Music,” “Mary Poppins” and “The Princess Diaries,” the legendary Andrews attracts fans of all ages, and the spirit she’s injected into her classic screen roles can be found in Gerry, the heroine of “The Very Fairy Princess” series.

The mother-daughter duo, who have published more than 23 books together, including six bestsellers, will appear at The Voracious Reader at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The shop is at 1997 Palmer Ave. in Larchmont. Call 914-630-4581 or visit thevoraciousreader.com for more information.
