Martha Stewart, Rosie O'Donnell earn Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week
Martha Stewart, Rosie O'Donnell and Susan Sarandon are this week's winners for the Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week, honoring Twitter greatness from stars with connections to the region.

Sarandon earns the third-best tweet of the week. Much like a cinematic character by Mike Myers — who, like, Sarandon, has called Pound Ridge home — she really likes gold.
I can only imagine table tennis pros who are picking apart this table as not meeting regulation standards. Does the ball spin a different way on a gold surface? Who cares? It's a ping pong table made of gold, and it is glorious.
This week's runner-up is Rosie O'Donnell. On Monday, she was one of many Hudson Valley celebrities to weigh in on NBA player Jason Collins, who'd revealed he's gay. But that's not to say everyone heard the news correctly.
Overheard at the gym " Joan Collins came out as gay? "— Rosie O'Donnell (@Rosie) April 29, 2013
Misinformation must travel at the speed of light. If I had to guess, I'd say the person who claimed this was Anthony Crispino with the "news he heard second-hand," courtesy of Eastchester native Bobby Moynihan.
This week's top tweet belongs to Bedford resident Martha Stewart, who just posted her profile on a popular dating website, might have lost a few potential suitors who insist on tweets that, you know, make sense.

Is her entire Match.com profile just made up of characters resulting from the shift key and the row of numbers on the computer keyboard? I kid, but then again, who am I to judge? I'm single and have never received more than 900 retweets for anything, let alone for apparently face-planting on my MacBook Pro. Stewart might be onto something after all.
