Melinda Ademi, Barbara Walters earn Hudson Valley Tweets of the Week
This edition of Tweets of the Week involves an eliminated "American Idol" contestant, a rejuvenated daytime talk show host and an elated singer-songwriter.

At No. 3 is Ingrid Michaelson, who also chimed in on Twitter during Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony. On behalf of VH1's Save The Music campaign, Michaelson had chosen Streetsboro High School in Streetsboro, Ohio, as the winner of a contest to make its own version of a music video for her song, "Blood Brothers." So the singer-songwriter, who spent a summer working in Nyack, traveled a few states west of Rockland County to perform a concert for the winning school Tuesday.
It's fair to say she impressed one of her teenage fans there.
A 15 year old boy asked me for my number.Well...I was performing at a highschool...but still! #foreveryoung— Ingrid Michaelson (@ingridmusic) February 26, 2013
Hey, the kid may be too young, but at least he has good taste. And here's a bonus tweet from the school's feed of another young fan who approved of Michaelson's visit:
This week's runner-up for Tweet of the Week goes to Sarah Lawrence College alumna Barbara Walters, who has been down for the count lately in a bout with chicken pox. But on Tuesday, she announced news on Twitter that would please her fans.
I'm back! Starting Monday I’m returning to @theviewtv.Ladies - thanks for keeping my seat warm!— Barbara Walters (@BarbaraJWalters) February 26, 2013
Newsday Westchester is happy to hear of Walters' recovery as well. "The View" just isn't the same without her.
"Okay, so I didn't make it," reads the note she posted on Instagram. "I'm not gonna lie ... it broke my heart. But I realized this is not the end for me. I love singing and dancing and making YOU smile. I can't wait for the road ahead of original music, YouTube videos and wonderful updates for my #Melodies. I hope you follow me on my journey."
Ademi is nothing if not tenacious; she made it about this far on "American Idol" during a previous season. Here's hoping she can break through as a pop star someday — with or without the show.
