Get ready for animals, acrobats and crazy clowns galore. The Shriners Circus returns to Rockland County this weekend with shows sure to entertain the entire family.
Tents for the traveling circus were raised yesterday at the German Masonic Park in Tappan, representing the first time the circus has travelled to the area in 15 years.
There will be shows at 11 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 2 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets, which can be purchased online, at an onsite ticket booth or by phone, are $15 for adults ($12 online), $13 for seniors ($10), $7 for kids 12 and under ($4) and free for kids under 2.
Officials said a good portion of the entrance fee will go the Shriners Hospitals for Children, which provide free medical care to kids in need.
