Taylor Swift celebrated the No. 1 debut of her new album, "Red," on "Good Morning America" today — and dodged another question about her relationship with Bedford resident Conor Kennedy.

Swift talked openly about the process behind "Red," which she said involved various songwriting partners and refining her emotions, but took a more cautious approach in the interview when asked about the current state of her love life.

"I don't really talk about my love life," said Swift, who never mentioned Kennedy by name during the inteview. "I kind of sing about it a lot, because I really think it sounds more poetic and romantic with music behind it. ... My fans know that I'm going to give them the real version of what happened to me in my music, and they know that what they read on blogs or gossip sites or whatever may or may not be true."

There have been swirling rumors of trouble in paradise for the couple known as "Caylor," who seemed happy in July when they met for thin-crust slices at Maricella's Pizzeria in Mount Kisco. But they haven't been photographed together of late, and Star magazine has gone so far as to claim that she recently hooked up with Kennedy's cousin, Patrick Schwarzenegger, at a family event.

At least Kennedy's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, gave Swift a glowing endorsement a couple of weekends ago during a charity golf event.

While she didn't mention Kennedy, Swift did admit to "Good Morning America" that her first celebrity crush was Taylor Hanson, from the band Hanson. Past crushes, apparently, are fair game for public conversation.

Perhaps she'll show up with Conor for her performance on "GMA" Tuesday morning, or at a couple of upcoming awards ceremonies: She's up for Entertainer of the Year and other categories for the CMA Awards (Nov. 1), and the Favorite Female Artist category at the American Music Awards (Nov. 18). If she doesn't, it will only fuel the rumor mill.
