The prestigious Directors Guild of America nominees were announced today, and local director Ang Lee was named one of the honorees.

The City of Peekskill is reviewing lease, operation and management proposals this week for the Paramount Center for the Arts, whose operations have been suspended since Oct. 4.

Peter Shapiro, who has supervised renovations and subsequent concerts at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, has purchased the building he'd been leasing from Marvin Ravikoff for $11.5 million.
