LAW

Eli Weiss has been named associate at Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser Pc,

an intellectual property law firm in Garden City. The Great Neck resident is an

electrical engineer and was a patent attorney at Bell Telephone Laboratories.

He is a member of the Electrical Engineering Honor Society, Eta Kappa Nu.

Rivkin Radler Llp in Uniondale has named three new partners. Glenn H. Egor

of Garden City is a member of the firm's litigation and appeals practice group.

He specializes in insurance fraud and practices in all areas of personal

injury insurance defense litigation, and insurance coverage actions.

Paul V. Majkowski of Albertson is a member of the litigation and appeals

practice group. He focuses on complex mass toxic tort litigation in domestic

and foreign forums.

Benjamin P. Malerba of Wantagh is a member of the corporate and commercial

and health services practice groups. He counsels health care providers in

connection with all aspects of their medical practices, including general

business transactions, state licensing issues, regulatory compliance, disputes

with managed care companies, federal and state anti-kickback statutes,

self-referral statutes and federal privacy laws.

REAL ESTATE

Vic Amoroso has been named sales manager at Daniel Gale Sotheby's

International Realty in the Stony Brook office. The

Port Jefferson Station resident was an associate broker in the office.

Before that he was a school administrator in Suffolk

County for 26 years.

EDUCATION

William F. Connors Jr. has been named associate vice president for

academic affairs and college dean of faculty at Suffolk County Community

College. The East Setauket resident has been with the college for 42 years

and held the positions of dean of faculty at the Michael J. Grant and Ammerman

campuses and was executive dean at the college's Eastern campus. He is past

president of the Three Village Board of Education.

NONPROFITS

Henry E. Klosowski has been named first vice president on the board of

directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island. The Syosset resident is a

partner in the Garden City law firm of Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz Llp,

where he concentrates his practice in all phases of trust and estate planning,

as well as probate law, estate administration, elder law, guardianships and

estate litigation.

HOSPITALS

Maureen Homenick has been named client service manager for Good Samaritan

Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. The Huntington resident was an

information technology application analyst with Catholic Heath Services.

manager of the Great Neck headquarters of Community National Bank.
