Kidsday previews Sonic's new kart racer

NASCAR star Danica Patrick joins the roster in the upcoming Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The video game is set for release in fall 2012. Videojournalist: Patrick Mullooly (July 2, 2012)

Kidsday reporter Johnny Ryan had a chance to grab the wheel with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and it looks to be the best kart racer by Sega to date.  While the online multiplayer was an important addition for replayability, it's whom you get to drive as and what paths you take to get them to the finish line that made the biggest impression.

NASCAR star Danica Patrick joins the colorful cast from Sonic The Hedgehog's timeline of characters all the while cruising through 16 new tracks inspired by the Sega library of games including Golden Axe and Super Monkey Ball.

It was recently announced at the Sonic Boom 2012 event that Disney-Pixar's game-jumping Wreck-It Ralph will be a playable character for the game.  It seems like Sonic and Ralph have exchanged business cards after The Blue Blur's cameo appearance in the upcoming animated motion picture.

Check out the video preview and let us know who you can't wait to play as.
