Assassin's Creed 3 re-starts a revolution

Assassin's Creed 3 lead game designer Steven Masters talks about what you can expect from the heavily anticpated game set to be released later this October. VIdeojournalist: Vincent Balestriere (July 18, 2012)

Thanks to comic books, movies and cartoons, many look to their heroes as those associated with men and women in skintight outfits. Before there was The Avengers, even before there was the United States of America we call our country, there were our founding fathers--the real-life patriots such as George Washington and Benjamin Franklin that helped bring forth one nation divided from tyranny. One nation fought for what became America.

Ubisoft returns you to America's grassroots beginnings in the heavily anticipated Assassin's Creed 3. The game takes place between 1753 through 1783, during and after the American Revolution. Playing as Connor Kenway, a half-English and half-Native American protagonist, the assault against the Templars continues. Choosing to surprise enemies with dual weapons and hidden blades or springing into action tomahawk raised high to the sky are just two options from an arsenal of various history specific weapons offered in game.

Personally, I've never embraced the Assassin's Creed franchise up until now. After all, I am a huge fan of American history. I still to this day remember in elementary school doing a report on the midnight rider himself -- Paul Revere. Thanks to Ubisoft and their Ubisoft Montreal dev team, I'll be able to interact with the American patriot as well as a slew of others that fought the first war for freedom on American soil.

Assassin's Creed 3 hits stores later this year and offers a ton to gamers for its value. Watch the video preview above for more details with Assassin's Creed 3 lead game designer, Steven Masters.
