If you are searching for a place to live, move in with Trulia at its website (trulia.com) or its mobile apps (bit.ly/109atpM for Apple devices, bit.ly/I8czwU for Android devices). The self- described "all-in-one real estate site" covers homes for sale and rentals and provides neighborhood insights and market trends.

The interface, both online and mobile, is straightforward and easy to use. Choose an area to search for a home and then provide specific information about what are you looking for to narrow the field. You can receive results in three forms: as a list, as thumbnail photos or in map form (traditional or satellite view). An individual listing provides standard information (address, price, property taxes, lot size, description, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.), as well as features such as a link to the Google street view, interior and exterior photos of the dwelling (if available), estimated monthly payment, prices that homes nearby sold for and sales trends in the area.

One disappointment is that the school district the home was affiliated with is not stated. Instead, there's information for a number of nearby districts and schools (a Huntington home had info for everything from Huntington Union Free School District to Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District).
