Tip: Find out about hidden 401(k) fees

A Melville financial-advisory firm is betting that it can tap into consumers' anger over "hidden" 401(k) fees.

These are fees with arcane names such as "surrender," "soft dollar" and "wrap," according to CJM Fiscal Management.

Over time, the fees can reduce the value of some 401(k) accounts and their public-sector equivalents, 403(b) plans, by as much as 50 percent, said CJM president...
