The West Islip store will offer a wide array of groceries, gluten-free foods, organic fruits and vegetables, meats and poultry, seafood, a deli and appetizers department, a café, and a full-service bakery. It will also sell nutrition supplements, and health and beauty care products.

The new store occupies a portion of space previously leased by King Kullen. Wild by Nature is an independent subsidiary of King Kullen Grocery Co. Inc.

The first Wild by Nature opened in East Setauket nearly 20 years ago, followed by stores in Huntington, Hampton Bays, and Oceanside.

"We are very excited to be opening our first south shore location in mid-Suffolk County," Wild by Nature president Joseph Brown said in a statement.
