Stores across the Hudson Valley are getting ready for the biggest shopping day of the year.
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Orange County is getting ready for its eighth annual "Midnight Madness Black Friday" shopping event. That's when large crowds line up at the outlets in Central Valley to take advantage of Black Friday deals.
Officials tell News 12 that the outlets will officially open at midnight after Thanksgiving with many stores opening at 9 p.m. They say extra police presence and internal traffic control will help handle the crowds.
"We have off-site parking at the Anthony Wayne recreation area off the Palisades Parkway," says marketing director Christine Greak. "We have luxury buses that'll be transferring in shoppers back and forth to avoid all that parking chaos."
