Cablevision chief: Deal will 'bolster' Newsday

While acknowledging he is not a "newspaper man," Cablevision Systems Corp. chief James Dolan Monday said his company's $650-million acquisition of Newsday would help bolster the newspaper's long-term fortunes.
Dolan, though short on details, laid out a broad vision that includes growth for both companies' bottom lines.
