BRIDGEPORT - Neighbors awoke to find a flaming car in a grassy spot along a Bridgeport street early this morning.
It happened near the corner of Stevens and Quarry streets at around 6 a.m.
A neighbor tells News 12 that he happened to look outside as the car went up in flames. He said he heard loud pops that sounded like gunfire, but then he realized they were apparently caused by the fire.
No one was injured. There is no word on what caused the fire or how the car got into the thicket alongside the road.
