THE BRONX - A car crash in Riverdale today left one person in serious condition and five others with minor injuries.

Officials say a black Honda Pilot and a black Chevy Envoy crashed at the corner of Broadway and West 259th Street Tuesday. They say they believe the Envoy made a right turn onto Broadway when the Pilot smashed into it, pushing it into a tree.

The injured victims, including a toddler, were rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital. One person in the area says that some of the traffic lights turn green at the same time, making it difficult for people to know to slow down.

Witnesses say cars are constantly speeding down Broadway, and they have made a number of complaints to the Department of Transportation to fix the problem.
