All four Yonkers police precincts will be drop-off points for old, unused, or expired prescription drugs Saturday as part of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration's "Take Back" initiative.

People can drop off prescriptions medications "no questions asked" at any of the precinct houses between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Det. Lt. Patrick McCormack said.

"Rates of prescription drug abuse in the United States are increasing at alarming rates, as are accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs," McCormack said in a release. "Because of this, all residents are urged to participate in this program and properly dispose of any unused medication that is not needed at any of the collection sites."

The four drop-off points are

BULLET: 1st Precinct: 730 East Grassy Sprain Road

BULLET: 2nd Precinct: 441 Central Park Avenue

BULLET: 3rd Precinct: 435 Riverdale Avenue

BULLET: 4th Precinct: 53 Shonnard Place

Other drop-off points in Westchester County can be found at www.dea.gov.
