The GLI continues Volkswagen's ground-breaking performance line-up, offering enthusiasts a modern and dynamic sports sedan. The GLI 2.0T gets moving with the help of 200 horsepower between 5,100-6,000 revolutions per minute. Tip the accelerator in the engine's sweet spot and the 3,300 pound GLI leaps forward from 0-60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds, as the turbo and exhaust note sing in harmony. Two transmissions are available, and both do what it takes to continue the wolf-in-sheep-clothing character found in the GLI. A six-speed manual transmission delivers direct interaction between driver and machine, and the six-speed manual DSGÆ transmission utilizes direct shift gear changes through manual and automatic settings.
