Christie Brinkley buys new Hamptons home
Supermodel Christie Brinkley just added a new addition to her East End real estate portfolio.
The supermodel and full-time Hamptonite closed Wednesday on a 2.6-acre, four-bedroom, 2 ½-bath waterfront home in North Haven, says a source. The price she paid was not available.
The 2,800-square-foot, 18th-century saltbox dwelling was listed with Susan Breitenbach of the Corcoran Group for just under $11 million.
Kathy Lynn, a spokeswoman for Brinkley, says Brinkley's original intent was to buy the property for her parents, although she's not sure that's still going to happen.
Brinkley already owns a 4.4-acre Greek Revival mansion in North Haven on Fahys Road.
Brinkley was recently dubbed one of the top three "super posh power players in the Hamptons" by VH1, on an episode of its show "The Fabulous Life." Her impressive real estate holdings also includes a home in Water Mill and an estate in Bridgehampton.
None of the properties are co-owned by Brinkley and soon-to-be ex-husband Peter Cook. "They are all hers and not theirs," says Lynn.
Billy Joel, Brinkley's ex, recently bought a home in the Hamptons for about $18 million -- a house in Sagaponack once owned by actor Roy Scheider. Joel and wife, Katie Lee, are trying to sell their home in Centre Island, for which they are asking $32.5 million.
