New construction: Victorian house in Selden
An affordable 2,350-square-foot Victorian, located near
shopping, is available for sale at 27 Inwood Ave. in Selden.
Construction on the four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom house began in November 2007 and is expected to be completed in July, says listing agent Chris Capitelli, who is an associate broker at the First Long Island Realty Group in Setauket. The builder is Premium Homes of Mount Sinai.
The asking price for the home, which sits on more than half an acre, is $479,990.
The two-story home features oak floors and carpeting; an unfinished basement; a 600-square-foot unfinished, walk-in attic; a two-car garage; an oak staircase and railing; a family room; a fireplace in the living room; a kitchen with choice of cabinets, Formica countertops, and dishwasher and stove (you have to supply your own refrigerator); alarm system; two-zone central air-conditioning; two-zone oil heat; a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and one other bedroom; and a master bathroom with double vanity.
The exterior has vinyl siding. Also being offered is a central vacuum.
Shopping is about a mile away, Capitelli says.
The house also is near parks and about four miles from the Ronkonkoma stop of the Long Island Rail Road. It is in the Middle Country school district.
"This house is for the person trading up from a ranch who wants something that is bigger than a starter home, but still affordable with good schools," Capitelli says. "It offers the size that is good for families, on a nice quiet block."
Estimated taxes are $9,000, Capitelli says.
Capitelli can be reached in his office at 631-941-4000, ext. 314.
