Lamborghini celebrates opening of Long Island dealership
The Italian car maker Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is planning an invitation-only grand opening celebration Saturday evening of its newest dealership, Lamborghini Long Island, in Jericho.
The maker of super-expensive sports cars says the dealership, which opened three months ago, is one of its largest in the U.S. at 11,500 square feet.
The franchisee, Bespoke Motor Group, also retails Rolls-Royce and Bentley luxury cars in separate showrooms in the same building on the Long Island Expressway’s south service road.
An announcement of the grand opening said attendees are to include Stephan Winkelmann, president and chief executive of Automobili Lamborghini.
On display is to be the company’s newest model, the 700 hp. 2013 Aventador LP 700-4 roadster, listing for $445,300. A coupe version introduced earlier begins at $390,000, according to the Kelley Blue Book, a pricing guide. Lamborghini’s other model is the Gallardo, offered in coupe or convertible and starting at $194,000 with 542 hp., Kelley’s website says.
