The redesigned Viper is a must-see at the New York Auto Show this year.
Here's what you can expect:
Looks: The vehicle is unmistakenly a Viper's. But it has some modern cues to it, including LED headlights designed to look like snake eyes, while the LED tail lights has a snake skin texture on the lens. There's also a "double bubble" roof that gives the driver and passenger more headroom. The fender has to release heat from the engine.
Engine: The Viper has a 8.4-liter V-10 naturally aspirated engine. Chrysler says it gets 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. There is a six-speed manual transmission and a stiff suspension for tight cornering.
Interior: While the Viper has been known to keep it ultra simple, this year's Viper has an 8.4-inch touchscreen to control the GPS, radio, inside temperature.
Price, release date: Chrysler hasn't released a price, but expect it to crack $100,000. Expect the Viper to be available later this year.
