Ford Focus EV goes on sale in NY this year, starts at $39,995

Ford just begun taken orders for their first all-electric vehicle, the 2012 Focus Electric. Pricing will start at $39,995 and will hit New York metro area dealer floors later this year. It is eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit.

An Electric DeLorean by 2013

Just read a report off of Autoblog that DeLorean Motor Company is teaming up with Epic EV to produce an all-electric car by 2013.

 

According to the report, it'll have 260 hp, a top speed of 125 mph and cost $90,000 to $100,000, which is cheap if you have a lot of money.

Mitsubishi raises price of yet unreleased electric car

Mitsubishi has decided to raise the price of its electric i, formerly known as the i-MiEV, to $29,125, an increase of $1,135.

Mitsubishi said it had to raise the price by about 4 percent because of “unforeseen changes in market conditions.” The price of the up-level SE trim increases by $1,135, too, now starting at $31,125.
