The 2011 Optima is wide, longer, lower, and sleeker than the current bland model.

The Optima's interior is also more luxurious than the previous model, with Sirius Satellite radio, MP3 connectivity, Bluetooth and leather seating.

The Optima will come in either a 200 horsepower 2.4L naturally aspirated engine, or a turbocharged 2.0L engine pushing out 274 horsepower with 34 mpg fuel rating. A hybrid electric version is also in the works.

There is no official word from the company on pricing, but auto experts expect a starting price of $20,000.
