Subaru debuted an all-new model as part of its lineup at this year's New York International Auto Show. The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek is a five-door crossover that looks like something between an Impreza and the Outback.
The XV Crosstrek model is powered by a 148-horsepower 2.0-liter engine, mated to Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive system, via either a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Although the official EPA figures aren't available yet, Subaru says the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek gets 25 mpg city / 33 mpg highway / 28 mpg combined.
The XV Crosstrek is set to hit dealers this fall. No word yet on pricing, but look for the low-to-mid-$20,000 range.
