Sally M. Donahue joins the Garden City law

Sally M. Donahue joins the Garden City law firm Jaspan Schlesinger as of counsel in the trusts and estates practice group, concentrating on Surrogate's Court litigation. The Huntington resident was a court attorney-referee at the Nassau County Surrogate's Court in Mineola.

Rosalyn Maldonado joins Moritt Hock & Hamroff as an associate in the commercial litigation and construction practice areas and will work in the law firm's Garden City office. The Valley Stream resident was senior associate with French & Casey in Manhattan.

Justin C. Tan joins the Garden City office of law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King as a litigation attorney. The Brooklyn resident previously was an assistant district attorney with the Bronx County district attorney's office.

NONPROFIT

Avi Gordon, of West Hempstead, joins Oorah as chief operating officer in Lakewood, N.J., and will oversee programs nationwide, including Long Island. He held a similar position at Shamir Insight Inc. in San Diego. Oorah is a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged and disaffected children.
