The Vincent Smith School in Port Washington announces two promotions.

Grace Avigliano has been promoted to director of special education and curriculum development. The Seaford resident was director of special education.

Lauren Rosario has been promoted to director of education and student development. The Long Beach resident was an English and social studies teacher.

The Vincent Smith School serves students with learning and developmental disabilities.

Christian Browne has joined Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker in Uniondale as partner and will concentrate his practice in commercial litigation, zoning and land use planning and municipal law. The Rockville Centre resident previously managed his own practice in Uniondale.

Karen S. Svendsen has been named partner at The Law Offices of Long Tuminello in Bay Shore. The Melville resident joined the firm in 2010 and previously served as an associate.
