Stanley Jr. has been appointed to the board of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, a Washington, D.C.-based research and advocacy organization of public research universities, land-grant institutions, and state university systems. The Old Field resident is the president of Stony Brook University.

Melania Voutsinas has joined Portledge School in Locust Valley as the new school psychologist supporting students on a part-time basis through BOCES. The Muttontown resident was school psychologist at St. Anne's School in Garden City and Our Lady of Victory in Floral Park.
