Lionel Chitty, of Shirley, is key account manager at Sir Speedy in Plainview and president of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce.

Bishop Harrison Hale, of Gordon Heights, is president and CEO of the Harrison Hale Community Action Center in Medford.

Bernadette T. DiPrisco has been appointed to the board of the Child Care Council of Nassau. The Garden City resident is a tax, corporate and finance associate at Farrell Fritz in Uniondale.

Judah Samter has been appointed chairman of the board of trustees at the Vincent Smith School in Port Washington. The North Woodmere resident is a senior vice president at Capital One Bank in the real estate lending group in Melville. The Vincent Smith School serves learning disabled students.
