John C. Tsunis has been appointed chairman of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association. The Poquott resident is chairman of Islandia-based Long Island Hotels, a senior partner at Tsunis Gasparis Lustig Ring & Kenney, in Islandia, and chairman of the board and member of the executive and loan committees of Gold Coast Bank, also in Islandia.

David Torreblanca has joined Collins, McDonald & Gann in Mineola as an associate. He joins the firm's bicoastal dietary-supplement practice group. The Shirley resident previously served as an intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, division of enforcement in Manhattan, and is a recent graduate of St. John's University School of Law in Queens.
