The Long Island Library Resources Council has appointed three new trustees.

Daniel Kinney, of Stony Brook, will represent the category of largest academic library, Suffolk County. He is the associate director for resource management at the Frank Melville Jr. Memorial Library, Stony Brook University.

Carol Meschkow, of Plainview, will represent the category of layperson, Nassau County. She is president of the Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community.

Peter Ward, of West Islip, will represent the category of public library, Suffolk County. He is the director of the Lindenhurst Memorial Library.

Patrick J. Ryan has been named co-chair of the Senior Umbrella Network, Suffolk Chapter. The West Islip resident is principal and senior care consultant of A Gentle Touch Senior Home & Health Care in Bay Shore, and a licensed sales agent with Ed Ryan Real Estate Group in Bay Shore.
