Steven Klein has joined Century 21 American Homes in Westbury as a licensed sales agent. The Westbury resident was director of development at Jewish Community Relations Council of New York in Manhattan.
James Garbus has been appointed to the board of directors of the Long Island Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Network. The Manhattan resident is a member of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in Garden City and co-chair of the corporate law and corporate finance groups in the firm.
David M. Okorn is a new board member of The Education and Research Foundation of the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan New York. The Hauppauge resident is executive director of Long Island Community Foundation, an affiliate of New York Community Trust, in Syosset.
Dr. Dilip Patel has been appointed director of malignant hematology at The Cancer Institute at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in Roslyn. The Syosset resident previously served as director at Long Island Jewish Medical Center Intensive Home Care in Lake Success.
