Edward Ambrosino, of North Valley Stream, has been elected to the board of directors of the Red Cross-Long Island chapter. He serves as of counsel to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek's real estate and zoning and land use departments and is chair of the IDA and municipal development incentives practice group in Uniondale.

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, in Port Jefferson, has announced two new members of its board of directors.

John K. Diviney, of Stony Brook, is a labor and employment group partner with Rivkin Radler in Uniondale.

Daniel C. Opinante, of St. James, is president and chief executive of Seneca Consulting Group of Hauppauge.

Greg Westfall, of Manhasset, has been promoted to assistant managing principal for industries and markets of Grant Thornton's metro New York cluster in Manhattan. He previously served as principal, forensic and valuation services practice.

Jodi Bloom-Piccione, of East Meadow, has been promoted to partner. She has been with the firm since 1996 and previously was principal.

Gigi Boudreaux, of Massapequa, has been promoted to partner. She also joined the firm in 1996 and previously was principal.

John Haines, of Huntington, joins the Cold Spring Harbor office as a real estate salesperson. He was a salesperson at Computer Associates in Islandia.

Parasto Tehrani, of Great Neck, joins the Old Westbury office in Greenvale as a real estate salesperson. She held a similar position at Stephen Joseph Properties in Wantagh.

HEALTH CARE

Paul Jennings has been appointed director of pastoral care for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. Deacon Jennings is in the process of relocating from Connecticut, where he held a similar position at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport.

NONPROFITS

Jennifer S. Goodwin, of Merrick, has been appointed chief development officer of Helen Keller Services for the Blind. She will work at the Long Island and Brooklyn offices. Previously, she was associate vice president for development at Long Island University and an adjunct professor at LIU Post in Brookville.
