Polly C. Schmitz has joined Adelphi University in Garden City as executive director of alumni relations. The Huntington resident was assistant vice president for events at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.
Lauren Summa has been appointed applicant advocate for the Town of North Hempstead Building Department in Manhasset. She will assist residents with navigating the permit process. The Uniondale resident previously was director of constituent affairs.
The Interfaith Nutrition Network has announced five new officers and two new members of its board of directors.
Harry DiSimone of Old Brookville is president of the board. He is managing partner of Encore Financial Partners in Old Brookville.
Peter Curry of Cold Spring Harbor is first vice president. He is a partner at Farrell Fritz in Uniondale.
Vince Vitiello of Huntington is second vice president. He is executive vice president for The Producers Group in Huntington.
Michael F. Monahan of Huntington is treasurer. He is the office managing partner at Cohn Reznick in Jericho.
