Paul Darrigo has been named senior vice president of the Long Island and Queens middle market banking team at Capital One Bank in Melville. The Northport resident previously was senior vice president at RBS Citizens, where he worked with the New York metro mid-corporate banking team, located in Manhattan.

    Daniel H. Braff has been named partner at Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker in Uniondale. The Manhattan resident previously served as counsel and will concentrate his practice in zoning and land use planning, real estate, environmental and corporate law.

    Stacey Kowalski has joined the Melville-based law firm Karen J. Tenenbaum as office manager. The Commack resident was previously an executive assistant for Suffolk County Government in Hauppauge.

    EDUCATION

    Farmingdale State College has appointed to the college council one chair and two new members.

    Patricia Hill Williams has been appointed chair. Williams, of West Babylon, retired as vice president for external affairs for the college in 2004 and has been a member of the council since 2006.

    Randi Shubin Dresner, of East Meadow, has been appointed member. Dresner is president and chief executive of Island Harvest in Mineola.

    Ernesto Mattace Jr., of Bay Shore, has been appointed member. Mattace is president and owner of E.M. Solutions consulting, and a former vice president, political director, and health and safety director of Local 338 of the Retail, Wholesale, Department Store Union.

    John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson has announced new positions.

    Dr. Richard Savino has been named president of the medical staff and chairman of the medical board. The Port Jefferson resident is vice chairman of the hospital's department of orthopedic surgery, and vice president of Long Island Bone and Joint in Port Jefferson.
