Jay Zelkowitz has been promoted to front office manager at Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center. The Valley Stream resident previously was reservations and revenue manager.

LAW

Cara A. Baugh has joined the law firm of Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger as partner in the corporate department in Lake Success. The Oyster Bay resident was previously associate general counsel at Marcum in Manhattan.

Mike Caggiano has joined the firm of Grassi & Co. in Jericho as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. The Old Brookville resident was chief executive at Interim1, a management consulting firm in McLean, Va.

Alexander Tapia has been named an associate at Avallone & Bellistri in Lake Success in their insurance defense and commercial law division. The Selden resident was a law intern with the firm and a law clerk at the legal office of Edward P. Tapia.

EDUCATION

Patricia Hausfeld has been promoted to dean at Island Drafting & Technical Institute in Amityville. The Seaford resident previously served as assistant to the president at the college.

FINANCE

Richard H. Freund has been promoted to first vice president, New York commercial mortgage team leader at Valley National Bank in Manhattan. The Manhasset resident previously was vice president.

SECURITY

Bryan Davis has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing at Global Elite Group in Garden City. The Kings Park resident was director of marketing and sales.

BOARDS/ASSOCIATIONS

Peninsula Counseling Center welcomes three new members to its board of directors.

Marissa Allaben, of Brooklyn, is associate director of Rolling River Day Camp in East Rockaway.

Glenore M. Anderson, of Queens, is vice president at TD Bank in Valley Stream.

The Rev. Kymberly Clemons-Jones, of Valley Stream, is the pastor at Valley Stream Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Eric D. Donnenfeld has been appointed president of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. The Roslyn resident is a founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island and practices in the Rockville Centre and Lynbrook offices.

Barry J. Peek has been elected president of the board of directors at National Cancer Center in Plainview. The Manhattan resident will perform his new role and continue to serve as a member of the firm Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in Manhattan.
