Robert C. Creighton has been named to the board of directors of Family Service League in Huntington. The Smithtown resident is partner at the law firm Farrell Fritz in Uniondale.

Patrick Mitchell has been elected to the board of directors of SILO, a Ronkonkoma-based nonprofit whose mission is to enable disabled citizens and elderly individuals of Suffolk County to gain control and direction of their lives. The Blue Point resident is a retired special education teacher and is currently the commander of the Sons of AMVETS Post 48 in Ronkonkoma.

The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants has announced two new board members.

Adrian P. Fitzsimons has been elected vice president. He is professor and chairman of the department of accounting and taxation at St. John's University in Queens and lives in New Hyde Park.

Jack F. Craven has been elected director-at-large. He is president and founder of John F. Craven, CPA, with offices in Manhattan and Garden City and lives in Garden City.

HEALTH CARE

Michelle Goldfarb has been named vice president of quality and patient safety at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown. The East Meadow resident previously served as director of loss prevention and patient safety at MCIC Vermont in Manhattan.

Dr. Scott Klein has been named chief medical officer and chief of pediatrics at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, N.Y. The Roslyn resident previously served as chief medical officer for hospice and palliative care at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.

SECURITY

Steve Schlansky joins World Wide Security in Garden City, as general manager to head operational efficiencies for the organization. The Melville resident previously was general manager of the Long Island branch for Protection 1 in Plainview.

REAL ESTATE

Charles Rutenberg Realty welcomes two new licensed real estate sales agents to their Plainview office.

Philip Case, a resident of Elmont, previously held a similar position at Keystone Realty USA in Queens.

Cecilia Espinal, a resident of Central Islip, previously held a similar position at Kennedy Realty in Islip.
